More new music

Since our last newsletter we have been busy commissioning and preparing many new pieces.


More YouTube

We have also been recording more YouTube videos. Our latest recording focused on the Quintet section, and you can view all our videos on the SXP YouTube channel. We have now had over 250,000 hits!

The 'Sax Family 7' (SF7) has recently produced some YouTube videos for Saxtet Publications including the evocative Man-Mou, featuring Gerard McChrystal on sopranino saxophone, and Craig Rickard's toe-tapping number Oileáin Reel, soon to be published by Saxtet Publications.

More Sax Choir

Great Bowden: From the National Saxophone Choir, a smaller ensemble evolved in order to feature seven different types of saxophone which include the minuscule soprillo and majestic bass. This group, 'The Sax Family', has joined forces with another Midlands based saxophone ensemble 'Equinox' to perform in a unique saxophone concert and workshops day at Great Bowden on Sunday 18th November 2012. St. David's Hall: A CHRISTMAS CONCERT OF SEASONAL MUSIC & CAROLS In aid of CLIC/Sargent Caring for children with cancer, 30th Annual Concert. The NSC's Sax Family will be part of the programme will be appearing along with, The Brass Ensemble of the Welsh Guards, Combined Hospital Choir of 250 voices - conducted by David J Davies, Jane Watts – Organ. By popular demand Andy Tweed and Edward Leaker, the teaching team at Wells Cathedral School invite you to a saxophone play day at Wells Cathedral School. It is open to all ages and saxophones, and will feature special guest Karen Street. SXP titles featured will include Rain Dance, All in Good Time and Songs of the British Isles.
