So We Too

Description

Composer's note:

This was inspired by listening to a CD of The Soweto String Quartet. The title 'So We Too' is derived from 'Soweto', which is an abbreviation of 'SOuth WEst TOwnship'. The afro centric, infectious rhythms and sweet harmonies of the SSQ inspired me to write the original version of this piece for string quartet and solo sax.

This is without any great technical difficulties and is a fairly short, fun piece, making it an ideal addition to any concert programme. Percussion instruments may be added.
